I highly recommend NEVER blending/molding body trim/fascias/etc to a car, EVER. What happens over time, not only with normal wear and tear, but the flexing of the body alone causes these places that are normally gaps, etc to crack and eventually break. And will just look horrendous. It also disturbs the original lines a bit to be honest, especially if you are familiar with the normal look of a certain vehicle. If you ever see someone with a molded bumper fascia to a car, think to yourself how ridiculous it would be to do any maintenance underneath without taking it off.
